What is My Take on Vitamix?

WARRANTY IS A PLUS: I have used many low cost (budget) blenders and they generally did not last more than a year. Budget blenders will cost somewhere about 70 to 100$ and I had to spend 70-100$ dollars each year to get another new blender. But remember, Vitamix provides 7 years of full warranty on most of their products which covers all parts, performance, labor, and two-way shipping at no cost to you.  If you do a simple math, you will understand that you have to spend 70$ * 7 = 490$ in 7 years on a low cost budget blender. But for this cost you can get excellent blenders with more advanced options in Vitamix.

PERFORMANCE IS A PLUS: I could see a drastic difference in the performance of Vitamix blenders compared to budget blenders. They can deliver a real smoothie with rich creamy texture and not the so called smoothies from budget blenders with large chunks of fruits at the bottom.

RADIAL COOLING IS A PLUS: Overheating was the most common issue that I faced with the budget blenders. But, Vitamix comes with Radial cooling fan and thermal protection system, Interlocking system with automatic turn-off protection.

PREPROGRAMMED CYCLES IS A PLUS: Vitamix blenders come with preprogrammed cycles which makes your job pretty simple. You can make anything from a smoothie to an Ice cream with simple touch of a button. Preprogrammed cycles are even available to clean the jar.

BLACK SPECKS IS A MINUS: There are few customers who raised complaints about black specks coming from the Vitamix blender Jars. Apparently, some customers poured water into the blender container and ran it for few minutes and they saw tiny black specks mixed with water. Later Vitamix confirmed that these black specks are nothing but the small Teflon particles coming from the bearing seal and does not pose any health risk. However, Vitamix resolved this issue with a new bearing seal design. These new bearing seals were included in all Vitamix models manufactured after August 2015. So make sure you buy a model manufactured after August 2015 just to be on the safer side.

TAMPER IS A MINUS: Vitamix comes with a tamper and a tamper hole on the lid. The tamper is used to push the stuffs from top layer to bottom layer in the jar. When blending tough stuffs like frozen fruits, you need the tamper to push the stuff to the bottom which means you have to stand near the blender. This might be inconvenient for few.

NOISE IS A MINUS: Vitamix is generally louder except few models like the Pro 750.

SIZE IS A MINUS: Some Vitamix models come with taller jars and they may not fit under standard kitchen cabinets. However, you can choose to get the low profile containers which should fit in standard kitchen cabinets.

WEIGHT IS A MINUS: Vitamix blenders are bulky and not suitable for travel.

Conclusion:

No doubt that both models are powerful and deliver high quality output.

If budget is not your concern, and would like to have pre programs, touch control, pulse, more power, then Vitamix Pro 750 is best fit for you. Vitamix 750 is highly recommended for business use like hotels, restaurants etc

If you are on budget and can manage without the pre programs, pulse, touch control, then a certified refurbished 5300 model will work best for you. Vitamix 5300 is cheap and recommended for home use.

Try one of these blenders and let me know what you think. Happy Juicing..! Keep visiting my page as I’ll be continuously updating with cool stuffs.
